Barbara Jane Quinn was born on November 22, 1933, in Torning Township, Swift County, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert Gustav Sr. and Myrtle Helen (Ellingson) Hagen. She was baptized on December 23, 1933 at the Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church by Rev. Herman Jorgenson. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on February 29, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. M. G. Berg. She grew up and attended school in the Benson, Minnesota area. In November of 1955, she was united in marriage to Gordon Fish. This union was blessed with three children. They lived in Minneapolis and Illinois before moving back to Benson in 1970. On December 11, 1976, Barbara was united in marriage to Daniel Joseph Quinn in Benson. This union was blessed with over nineteen years of marriage. She worked at Fingerhut in Benson. She was an active member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she worked for many years on the church newsletter and helped with quilting. She was a member of the Benson VFW Post 1403 auxiliary and helped to deliver meals on wheels. Barbara enjoyed sewing, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, golf, and bowling. She loved to spend time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was called from this life on November 30, 2012, at her home in Benson. She attained the age of 79 years and 8 days. She is survived by her three children: Pamela (Lynn) Gaylor of Hayfield, MN, Jeff (Linda) Fish of Dawson, MN and Lisa (Wayne) Wolford of St. Cloud, MN; nine grandchildren: Amanda Newberg, Jed Peterson, Josy Peterson, Melissa Hanson, Jessica Fish, Courtney Blascyk, A. J. Krupke, Savannah Gaylor, and Nick Wolford; eight great grandchildren: Ryan and Carter Newberg, Ellisyn and Raegan Hanson, Alexis Krupke, Gavin and Ian Peterson, and Bailey Lachmiller; twelve siblings: Alvina Amundson of Benson, Marlow Hagen of Boise, ID, Jerome (Pat) Hagen, Lillian "Toots" (ValGene) Molden both of Benson, Connie Flaten of Swift Falls, Thomas (LoAnn) Hagen of Benson, Teresa (Paul) Johnson of Tucson, AZ, Sally (Vern) Bierbaum, Peter Hagen, Ronald (Pat) Hagen, all of Willmar, Lonnie "Butch" (Sharon) Hagen of Benson, Julie (Paul) Anderson of Willmar; and a sister in law Karri Hagen of Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Daniel Quinn on May 6, 1996, her parents: Albert Sr. and Myrtle Hagen, and a brother: Albert Hagen Jr.
