Betty Lou Loechner

February 9, 1939 — August 31, 2019

Betty Lou Loechner, 80, was born on February 9, 1939, in Lancaster, California, the daughter of Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Woodworth) Washburn. She was baptized in California and confirmed on her birthday in 1944. She grew up in California, graduated from high school and completed one year of college. She was united in marriage to William Loechner on March 7th, 1983 in Northridge, Los Angeles, California. She lived most of her life in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. She was an independent contracted accountant and she served as a courier business for several corporations.  She moved to Benson and lived with her granddaughter Michelle and her husband Nefi Ibarra.

Betty enjoyed gardening and watching TV. She loved her pets and spending time with her family. She was called from this life on Saturday evening, August 31, at the Swift County Benson Hospital surrounded by several of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Karen (Mike) Hessel, and Judy Norry, both of California; 11  grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; her siblings Raymond (Geniva) Washburn of Sacramento, California, Ethel Sandova of Little Rock, California, and Patricia (Curt) Tillary of Sacramento, California. She was preceded in death by her husband William Loechner III, her parents Charles and Mary, a sister Colleen, a brother Chuck, a son William Aguirre, and a daughter Kathleen (Aguirre) Edwards. Blessed be her memory.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 2 pm at the First Evangelical Free Church in Benson.
