Phyllis Bernice Flaten

Phyllis Flaten (Hammargren) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2019. Phyllis was born in Harris, Minnesota on December 8, 1931 to Marion (Danell) and Edwin Hammargren. Phyllis graduated from North Branch High School and later graduated from the Swedish Hospital nursing program in Minneapolis in 1952. On February 14, 1953 she married the love of her life, Roger Flaten. They enjoyed years of traveling and golfing together. In Minnesota, Phyllis enjoyed time with the family on Lake Linka and after retirement relaxed with long walks on the beaches of Florida. She is survived by husband, Roger; children, Cheryl (Dean) & Kenneth (Pam); grandchildren, Devin, Lee, and Christopher. A private family service will be held at a later date.
