Stanley Alan Fliflet

Stanley Alan Fliflet was born September 25, 1956 in Appleton, Minnesota, the son of Albert and Betty (Hanson) Fliflet.  He was baptized on October 28, 1956 by Rev. Lee State at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Appleton.  Stan was raised in Appleton where he graduated from high school, Class of 1974.  After high school he attended the Granite Falls Vo-Tech.  Stan resided in Montevideo for a number of years where he worked for Friendship Homes as a forklift operator.  Later in life he worked as a truck driver for Call Farms and then in the maintenance department at Prairies Edge Casino until his retirement.

Stan enjoyed target practice at the Appleton Sportsman’s Club, fishing with friends, riding motorcycle, and woodworking…he made many large Christmas decorations.  He loved to spend time with friends, especially when playing cards!  Stan and a good friend traveled to the Black Hills of South Dakota, Texas and Disney World…which fulfilled a life-long wish for him!

Stan passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in the St. Cloud Hospital.  He attained 62 years, 10 months, and 5 days of age.  He is survived by his siblings: Sue (Dion) Sherod of Appleton, Loren (Kathy) Fliflet of Nowthen, and Mary Fliflet of Becker; 1 niece, Ariane (Jared) Goeson; 2 great-nieces: Haylie Anderson and Myka Goeson; and 2 great-nephews: Luke and Daniel Goeson; aunt, Mary Lou Hanson; uncles: Jim Hanson and Richard (Luella) Fliflet; cousins, other relatives and friends.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Betty Fliflet; niece, Cassie Lee; and nephew, Matt Sherod.
