Beverly "Bev" Vandewater

Beverly Jean VanDewater was born August 12, 1939 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Leland Chester and Mary Louise (Thompson) Doring.  Bev was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo.  She was raised in Montevideo, where she graduated Class of 1957.

Over the years Bev resided in Dallas, Texas, Dawson, Minnesota and Madison, Minnesota.  Due to a decline in her health she most recently resided at the Care Center in Franklin, Minnesota.  Bev worked for a time at The Hunt Hotel in Montevideo as the overnight Desk Clerk, at the Dallas International Airport and Mico Corporation, also in Dallas.  In her younger years Bev enjoyed interior decorating and sewing.  Bev was smart, witty, and had a great smile.

Bev passed away Friday evening, July 5, 2019, in the Frankin Rehabilitation and Care Center.  She attained 79 years, 10 months, and 23 days of age.  Bev is survived by her children: Ronald VanDewater of Denver, CO, Karen (Brian) Hardy of Snellville, GA, and Steve Anderson of Cartersville, GA; 2 grandsons: Jessie (Jelena) Hardy and Christopher (Rebecca) Hardy; siblings: Roger (Irene) Doring, Larry (Sherry) Doring, Randy (Lois) Doring, and Kim (Ollie) Kelzenurg; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Mary Doring; and her daughter, Pamela.  Blessed be the memory of Beverly Jean VanDeWater.
