Sheila Rae Jeffery, 71, died on Thursday evening, May 2, 2019, at Scandi Haven Village in Benson. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 9, 2019 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm; with a 7:00 pm Parish Prayer Service. Interment will be held at the St. Malachy Catholic Cemetery in Clontarf at a later date. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Sheila Rae Jeffery, was born on February 22, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the daughter of Ray and Alyce (Reardon) Amlin. She grew up and attended Elementary School in Clontarf, Minnesota. She graduated from Benson Senior High School in 1966. After high school she attended Business College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She lived and worked in Benson. Sheila loved being with her family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s many athletic events, golf, travelling, and the outdoors. She was called from this life on Thursday evening, May 2, 2019 at the Scandi Haven Village in Benson. She attained the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 10 days.
Sheila is survived by her children Darin Staton of Benson and Shawna (Mike) Staton Berghorst of Sauk Centre; six grandchildren Rachel, Dylan, Eric, Alexis, Elizabeth “Lizzie”, and Nicholas; one great grandchild on the way – October 2019; sisters Nancy (Rick) Brinkman, Lynn (David) Elias; a brother Eddie (Melanie) LaPentiere; a sister in law Kathy Amlin of Boise, Idaho; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death
by her parents Alyce and Ray Amlin,
a granddaughter Courtney Lee Staton,
brothers Mark Amlin, Alvin, Ralph, Wayne, Gary, and Ricky La Pentiere. Blessed be her memory.
