Jean Marie Thompson

Jean M. Thompson, age 77, of Appleton, died Monday, January 28th in Appleton Area Health Services –Care Center.

Jean Marie Thompson was born July 1, 1941 in Appleton, Minnesota, the daughter of Leonard and Myrtle (Olson) Thompson.  She was baptized on July 30, 1941 by Pastor C.T. Jenson at the Big Bend Lutheran Church parsonage and was confirmed June 9, 1957 by Pastor Clifford Nelson at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton.  Jean was raised in Appleton and graduated from Appleton High School.  After high school, she resided with her parents, until February, 1987 when she moved to the Appleton Nursing Home.

Jean is survived by her mother, Myrtle Thompson of Appleton; brothers, Bob (Arlene) Thompson and Rick (Lori) Thompson, both of Alexandria; nieces, nephews; and her friends and caregivers at the Appleton Nursing Home.  She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Thompson.
