Shawn West

Shawn Micheal West was born October 7, 1988 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Charlene West and Christopher Smith.  Shawn was raised in South Minneapolis and Appleton.  He lived in Kansas for a brief time where he attended Kensington High School.  Shawn currently resided in Appleton, with his cousin Dallas.  He was a member of the Juggalos, AA, and NA.  Shawn loved his children, Jason and Corbin, and enjoyed spending time with them and playing with them.  He also liked to fish and to work on cars.

Shawn passed away January 22, 2019 in Appleton, Minnesota.  He attained 30 years, 3 months, and 15 days of age.  He is survived by his children: Jason Turpin and Corbin West and their mother, Ambree North, of Phillipsburg, Kansas; his mother, Charlene West (Eric Miller) of Sharon Springs, Kansas; father, Christopher Smith Sr. of Mason City, Iowa; step-father, Kevin Pittelkow of Richfield, Minnesota; siblings: Alyssa "Brittany" Wood of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Kevin Pittelkow of Minneapolis, Minnesota, James Lorentzen of Clear Lake, Iowa, Samatha Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pony Boy Smith of Forrest City, Iowa, Christopher Smith Jr. of Forrest City, Iowa, and Tabatha Smith of Mason City, Iowa; grandmother, Jadelynn West of Michigan; Auntie Wendy; Uncle Scott; cousins: Dallas, Amber, Arries, Tevin, Malia, Nate and Matthew; other relatives and friends.  Shawn was preceded in death by his uncle, Guy Senske; and his aunt, Kelly Lorentzen.  Blessed be the memory of Shawn Micheal West.
