Kim was born January 20th, 1983 and spent 35 years lighting up the lives of those around her. Although she struggled with health issues from a very young age, Kim was determined to make the most out of her life and succeeded in doing just that.
Kim graduated from Ballard High School, Huxley, IA, in 2001. She graduated from Grand View University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in human services. She had an ability to see the value of every person she met. Kim was united in marriage to Roger Fears on October 14th, 2006. They were blessed with 12 wonderful years together and 2 beautiful children, Addison and Sawyer. She liked to spend time with her family watching movies, doing crafts, and telling jokes.
Kim is survived by her husband, Pastor Roger Fears of Appleton; their children: Addison and Sawyer Fears; mother, Linda McBride of Ankeny, IA; brother, Billy Barker of Huxley, IA; parents-in-law, Norman and Susan Fears of Lacona, IA; sister-in-law, Keisha (Jerod) Fredregill of Indianola, IA; brother-in-law, Zach (Julie) Fears of Jefferson City, MO; aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, David Barker; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
