Doris Jean Lansverk, 84, of Benson, Minn., died Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Gabriel House in Murdock. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Monday, November 12, 2018, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery in Kerkhoven Township.
Doris Jean Lansverk was born August 17, 1934 in Sacred Heart, Minnesota to Bennie and Alma (Stavne) Bredeson. She was baptized at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart by Rev. T.H. Rossing. In 1941, she moved with her family to Terrace, Minnesota. She was confirmed at the Chippewa Falls Lutheran Church in Terrace by Rev. Leonard Thompson. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1952.
On June 20, 1953 she was united in marriage to Oral Lansverk at the Chippewa Falls Lutheran Church in Terrace by Rev. Oliver Pederson. They farmed for several years and she worked five years for the Gandrud/Welking grocery store in Sunburg. In 1965 she began working as a legal secretary in Benson. In 1968 they moved to Benson and she continued secretarial work until 2014. She also assisted her husband in their construction company business. She was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Coterie Study Club.
Doris passed on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the age of 84. Survivors include her husband, Oral Lansverk of Benson; one niece, Teresa (Mark) Nelson of Summer, WA; and one grandniece, Kirsten Dodds of Shakopee, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lorraine (Raymond) Lanning; and one nephew, Ronald Lanning. Blessed be her memory.
