Donald was born on May 14, 1943, the son of Glen and Anetta (Schaaf) Flynn. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in DeGraff. He attended school in Benson until 1962. In 1965 Don was united in marriage to Lucille Jindra at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church by Monsignor Trainor.
Don enjoyed, loved and cherished his wonderful wife Lucy, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed farming, raising baby calves, and milking cows. He liked hunting, fishing, and go cart racing. He worked in manufacturing as a lead man in Willmar and at Tyler’s in Benson. For the last twenty years he worked driving truck for Prentice Trucking. After his retirement he enjoyed blowing snow and mowing lawn with his big John Deere, playing cards, and having a few beers. He was involved with the St. Louis Catholic Church, in Paynesville, where he served as an usher and helped with adoration. He was called from this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at this home in Paynesville.
Don is survived by his wife Lucille of Paynesville, his children; Christina (Ed) Hanzel of Fremont, Nebraska Tina Flynn of Litchfield, , Tony (Christiane) Flynn of Clay Center, Kansas, Tom (Lori) Flynn of Tujunga, California, Tim (Jenn) Flynn of Seattle, Washington, Tricia (Dennis) Lang of Willmar, Tamara (Dan) Pariseau of Hutchinson, Terry (Beth) Flynn of Sartell, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Blessed be his memory.
