Glen Alan Schrock was born February 2, 1952 in Appleton, Minnesota, the son of Clifford Michael and Violet Rose (Block) Schrock. He was baptized February 29, 1952 by Rev. E.A. Klemp and was confirmed March 19, 1967 by Rev. Lyle Rusert, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton.
Glen was raised in Appleton, graduating from Appleton High School, Class of 1971. After graduation he attended Willmar Vo-Tech, graduating in 1972. He then moved to Hopkins, Minnesota where he worked in the warehouse for Musicland for many years. After the passing of his mother, Violet, Glen moved back to the family home in Appleton where he lived and worked until his retirement.
As a young boy Glen enjoyed going to the races to watch his Dad race. Glen carried that passion into his adult life, building 74 model replicas of those cars that his Dad drove and of those that his Dad raced against…down to every detail. He was also very proud of his collection of at least 80 other race cars. Glen was also a member of the IMCA Old Timers Club where he enjoyed sharing his model cars.
Glen passed away March 31, 2018 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He attained 66 years, 1 month, and 27 days of age. Glen is survived by a nephew, Patrick Beyer of Minnetonka; a niece, Kim (Brian) Billadeau of St. Louis Park; 3 great-nieces: Audrey Beyer, Margo Beyer, and Emily Billadeau; numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Violet Schrock; and a sister, Bonnie (Beyer) Tietjen.
Blessed be the memory of Glen Schrock.
