Lisa Marie Bonebright was born on September 13, 1963 in Estherville, IA, the daughter of Dale and Rosemary Dahl (Soat). She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith. She grew up and attended school in Appleton and Benson, MN. She graduated from Benson High School in 1982, attended the Dental Assistant program at Canby Vo-Tech, and graduated in 1983.
Lisa was united in marriage to Bruce Bonebright on May 31, 1986, but divorced in 1990. Lisa worked as an Orthodontic Assistant in Arizona, North Dakota, and Minnesota. She loved putting on braces and seeing the end results for her patients. Lisa, herself, had the perfect smile. She could light up a room and never failed to make others smile as well.
Lisa loved to have fun. She had an outgoing personality, always made people laugh, loved to have the last say, and like her mother – had the best one-liners. She had a love for her family and her many cats throughout the years. Lisa was a strong, fearless, and selfless woman, had a huge heart, and always put others before herself. She loved everyone for who they were, helped support so many people, and always lived life to the fullest.
Over the last few years, Lisa called a number of places home, including North Dakota, Arizona, Minnesota, and most recently – South Dakota. Lisa is survived by her father Dale Dahl of Starbuck, MN; twin sister Laura (Mark) Ascheman of Danvers, MN; nephews Brandon (Laura) Ascheman of Danvers, MN, and Nathan (Emily) Ascheman of Saint Paul, MN; great-niece Olivia Rose Ascheman of Danvers, MN; and friend David King of Mitchell, SD.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother Rosemary Dahl in 2015; brother Michael Dahl in 1980; grandparents Lawrence and Gertrude Soat, Raymond and Evelyn Dahl; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
