Marion Jane (Dokken) Bommersbach, was born on March 13, 1939, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Carl Melvin and Olive Louise (Halls) Dokken. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church. She grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson Senior High School. In 1963 she was united in marriage to Bernard John Bommersbach in Minot, North Dakota. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Kindred, North Dakota. Marion moved back to Benson in 2012 to be closer to her family.
Marion enjoyed crafts, playing Whist with her brothers and sisters, and playing her guitar and singing. She was called from this life on Monday, January 29, at the Swift County Benson Hospital.
She is survived by her sisters: Clarice Larson of Kerkhoven, Arlene Danielson of Glenwood, and Linda Rood of Sunburg; and her brothers: Luverne Dokken of Sunburg and Wendell Dokken of Granite Falls; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, her parents Carl and Olive Dokken, a sister Beverly Erdman, and a brother Clinton Dokken. Blessed be her memory.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm, in the Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church Chapel, on Friday, February 2, 2018. Burial will be at a later date in Kindred, North Dakota.
