Junior was born December 7, 1935, in Appleton, Minnesota. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in 1936 and confirmed in 1950, both at Drywood Lutheran Church, rural Appleton. He proudly served our country in the Minnesota National Guard from 1956 to 1962. Junior lived most of his life in the Appleton and Alberta areas. He entered West Wind Village in Morris in 2016. Junior had been employed in numerous occupations over the years, including over-the-road trucking.
Junior passed away January 1, 2018 in Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris at the age of 82. He is survived by his sister, Carol Ann Rohloff of Golden Valley; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred A. Paulson Sr.; mother, Emma (Larson-Paulson) Lehne, step-father, Olaf Lehne; sisters and brothers-in-law: Eleanor (Ingvald) Tofte, Ruth (Irvin) Buntje, Jennieva “Jenny” (Theodore) Bakken; brothers and sister-in-law: Elmer Paulson, Bennie (Beth) Paulson; brothers-in-law, Henry Hanson and Dale Rohloff.
Junior will be greatly missed. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at West Wind Village for the compassionate care that they gave to Junior and for the assistance, support, and guidance they provided to his sister, Carol Ann Rohloff and niece, Laurie Buck. Also, special thanks to Bonnie and Jim Stork and David Buntje for the many kind acts they provided to Junior.
