Marcella Elizabeth Razink was born on February 6, 1929, in Fairfield Township Swift County, Minnesota, the daughter of Christ A. and Augusta (Thielke) Schliep. She was baptized on April 28, 1929 by Rev. C. W. Ristow at the Lutheran Church in Horton Township in Stevens County, Minnesota, and she was confirmed on April 2, 1944, by the Rev. Raymond P. Allrecht at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson. She grew up on the farm in Hegbert Township and in Clontarf, Minnesota. She attended District #35 country school and in Clontarf and Benson.
On June 12, 1947, she was united in marriage to Francis Edward Razink at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster, South Dakota by the Rev. Rueben Wangberg. This union was blessed with over 68 years of marriage and seven children. They owned and operated Razink Gravel for 67 years. She and Frank had many good memories of their involvement with the Happy Hoofers Saddle Club.
Marcella enjoyed embroidery work, baking, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was called from this life on July 5, 2017, at the Gabriel House in Murdock. She attained the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 29 days.
She is survived by her children: William (Peggy) Razink of Clontarf, Donna (Curtis) Longhenry of Nassau, Annette (James) Pfeifer of Clontarf, James (Lori) Razink of Clontarf, Dennis (Wendi) Razink of Clontarf; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lucille Reuss of Benson, Melvin (Ruth) Schliep, of Hopkins, Phyllis Harstad of Benson, Gladys (Michael) Ascheman of Lonsdale, and Helen Klucas of Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on January 29, 2016; her parents, Christ and Augusta; two daughters, Judith Ann and Mary Lee; two sisters, Evelyn Oglesby and Mable Schliep in infancy; five brothers: Harry, Henry, Lawrence, Clarence, and John Schliep; two sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.
