Heidi Marie (Molden) Schuelke

April 30, 1977 — June 30, 2017

Heidi Marie Schuelke was born April 30, 1977 in Appleton, Minnesota, the daughter of Earl and Gloria (Olson) Molden.  She was raised in the Appleton area and graduated from Lac qui Parle Valley High School in 1995.  Heidi was active in 4-H and high school softball.  She moved to the Twin Cities after high school, where she attended the University of Minnesota.  While living in the Twin Cities she worked a variety of jobs, including: Wilsons, New York and Company, Vision World, Structure, and delivered papers for the Pioneer Press.  Heidi moved back to Appleton when her oldest, Tyrone, started Kindergarten.  Upon her return to Appleton she worked in Morris as a CNA and then at Prairie Correctional Facility in Appleton…where she met her future husband, Bill.  On October 24, 2009 she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Schuelke in Morris, Minnesota.    Heidi’s position at Prairie Correctional Facility ended when the prison closed.  She used this adversity as an opportunity…going back to college to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and eventually a Registered Nurse.  Heidi was a long-time employee of Appleton Area Health Services –Care Center.  She enjoyed being a nurse which was represented by the fact that both residents and staff loved, respected, and admired her for the care that she provided.      Family was a big part of her life.  She especially adored her three boys: Tyrone, Thomas, and Ethan.  She was their biggest fan…if one of them had a game, she was there to watch it.  Sometimes this meant going to a game right after a chemo treatment.  Heidi fought an eight-year battle with cancer.  On Friday, June 30, 2017 she won the battle with pain by passing to eternity with her Savior, Jesus Christ.  She will be sadly missed.    Heidi is survived by her husband, Bill Schuelke of Appleton; sons: Tyrone Molden, Thomas Daniels, and Ethan Heck, all of Appleton; parents, Earl and Gloria Molden of Appleton; siblings: Todd (Tania) Molden of Fargo, Amanda Molden of Appleton, Andrew (Alli) Molden of West Fargo; grandfather, Stanley Wilts of Appleton; parents-in-law, Duane and Patty Schuelke of Big Stone City, SD; brother-in-law, Michael Schuelke of Ortonville; nieces and nephews: Darrick, Kaden, Gwynnie, Espyn, Addy, Jackson, Ameila, Signy, and Christian; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Darwin and Millie (Wilts) Molden and Stan and Rosie Olson; and two aunts: Judy Olson and Peggy Hilbrand.   Blessed be the memory of Heidi (Molden) Schuelke.
