Katheryn Yvonne Briscoe

July 26, 1938 — January 24, 2017

Katheryn Yvonne Briscoe was born on July 26, 1938 to Ambrose and Norma Briscoe in Appleton, Minnesota.  She attended Appleton High School and graduated in 1956.  After High School she attended St. Benedicts College and graduated in 1960.  Kathy began her career as a programmer for the State of Minnesota Highway Department (MNDOT).  She worked many positions within the department and the later years she traveled the United States, giving speaking engagements for the State Department.


Kathy had a love for travel.  She made several trips to China with fellow college students and twice with her mother.   She also enjoyed bird watching and camping with her brother and mother.


Never having children of her own Kathy was always generous with her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  Kathy passed away January 24, 2017 at the age of 78.  She is survived by her sister, Anne (David) Bonk of Appleton; nieces and nephews: Shawn (Kerry) Bonk, Paul (Kerry) Bonk, Beth (Tom) Fennell, Mary (Brad) Busse, and Karen (Daniel) Ascheman; many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Norma Briscoe and brother, David Briscoe.
