Bradley Guy Joseph Nordby, age 57, was born on June 9, 1959 in Roseburg, Oregon, the son of Lloyd and Louise Hanson Nordby. He grew up in the Roseburg, Oregon area and in Benson, Minnesota. He was baptized on March 27, 1986 by the Rev. Laurel Udden in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Benson High School and graduated from the Human Service Technology Program at Ridgewater College in Willmar on Friday June 2, 1995. He lived in Benson and Appleton for most of his life but also lived in Willmar, Minnesota and in the Fargo Moorhead area. He worked as a Human Service Technician, as a certified Nursing Assistant, and as a dishwasher at the Benson Bakery. He was a member of the Benson and Appleton AA and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Brad enjoyed fishing, playing cards, animals especially dogs, cardinals, and pheasants; writing poetry, rodeos, vegetable and flower gardening, reading the Bible, and telling Ole and Lena jokes. He was a caring and understanding person and always tried to help his friends out whenever he could. Brad was called from this life on Tuesday morning, January 3, 2017 at the Swift County Benson Hospital. He is survived by his special friend Donna Larson of Danvers and her family; a brother Jesse Nordby Sr. of Benson; his nephews Jesse Nordby Jr., Jeffrey Nordby; a niece Janil (Roger) Mondor; several great nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Louise and a brother Randolph in 1977. Blessed be his memory.
