Betty L Lageson

Elizabeth “Betty” L. Lageson was born on June 1, 1930 in Hancock, Minnesota, the daughter of Harold and Florence (Goulet) Bush. She grew up and attended school in Hancock. She was united in marriage to Robert Smith until his death in 1949, and later she was married to Vernon Lageson. She lived in Danvers, Minnesota and worked for Fingerhut in Benson and later for DeToy’s Café. Betty was a member of the West Bank Lutheran Church Ladies Aid and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and loved dancing. She was called from this life on Sunday evening, October 9, 2016, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. She attained the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 9 days.

She is survived by her 7 children, Bobbie (Dennis) Boutain of Great Falls, Montana, Pat (Marlow) Erdman of Willmar, Mark Lageson of Loring, Montana, Jackie Lageson of Boston, Massachusetts, Cindy (David) Clark of Loring, Montana, Valerie (Richard) Cook of Benson, and Todd Lageson of Appleton; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister, Beedee Schmidt of Clontarf; and a brother-in-law, Leon Sloneker of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Florence; her husbands, Robert Smith and Vernon Lageson; her sisters, Haroldine Walker and Pat Sloneker; and brother-in-laws, Robert Walker and Eldon Schmidt. Blessed be her memory.
