Barbara "Barb" Steinle Huckle
, age 55, of Burnsville, passed away Saturday, April 16th, in the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1st, at 2:00PM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, officiated by Rev. Michelle Rowell. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday, May 1st. Burial will follow at the Appleton City Cemetery.
Barbara "Barb" Steinle Huckle was born on August 12, 1960, to parents Keith and Anna Steinle (Nissen). She was the 1,000th baby born at the Appleton Municipal Hospital in Appleton, Minnesota. Barb and her younger brother Jim attended Japanese Kindergarten in Tokyo, Japan. She then attended the American School in Japan, and schools in Pittsburgh, PA., Greensboro N.C., and Burnsville, MN. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1978. Barb attended the University of Minnesota, Morris, and later graduated from Augsburg College with a degree in accounting. In 1987, Barb married Brad Huckle. They resided in the Twin Cities area. Their greatest gift, son Keith Huckle was welcomed with open arms on July 2, 1995. Barb enjoyed storytelling, laughter, music (especially the Beatles), books, travel and movies.
She is now at peace, reunited with her father, Keith Steinle; grandparents, Alton and Irma Steinle, and Omar and Agnes Boraas. She was also preceded in death by her uncle, Vern Kleven; aunts: Yvonne Hjelm, Joan Karr, and Shirley Boraas; and cousin, Charlene Lund.
Barb is survived by her son, Keith and his father Brad Huckle of Arden Hills; mother and stepfather Anna and Chris Nissen of Appleton; sister, LuAnn (Robert) Rheingans of Appleton; brothers: Bob (Sherry) Steinle of Victoria and Jim (Jamie) Steinle of Fergus Falls; nephews: Jordan, Nathan, and Jacob; nieces: Kyle, Amanda, and Allison; great-nieces: Addison, Julia, Greta, and Eva; great-nephew, Andrew; one great-uncle; aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins and friends.
