Glenn Kenneth Rood, age 77, was born on January 20, 1939 on the family farm on the shores of Monson Lake near Sunburg, Minnesota, the son of Elmer and Clara (Ellingson) Rood.  He grew up and attended Sunday school in Sunburg and attended country school and school in Kerkhoven. He was confirmed at West Norway Lake Lutheran Church.

In 1968, he married Linda Thorson and they were later divorced. He worked on gas lines in Shakopee, MN, built silos for Hanson’s Construction in Canada. On August 12, 1995, he married Linda Corrine Dokken. They farmed southeast of Sunburg. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Willmar, and a member of the Monson Lake Lutheran Church.  He loved to hunt pheasants, fishing, gardening, and farming.  He was called from this life on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2016 on his farm near Sunburg.

He is survived by his wife Linda; his Step children Jodi (Mike) Tracy of Wolverton, Lisa (Joe) Keaveny of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Kim (Nick) Bauman of Fargo, North Dakota, and Tim Bauman of Bloomington; his step grandchildren Allexis, Morgan, Elise, Neve, Sephen, Carmella, Christopher, and Jordyn; his brothers and sisters Demoine Rood, Leslie (Kathy) Rood, Hazel Thonvold, Donna King, Linda (Harlan) Peters, and Jenny Jacobson; and several other nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Clara, his brother Elmo,  brother in laws Howard Jacobson, Robert King, Bruce Thonvold, and Floyd “Swanny” Swanberg and a nephew Rick Thonvold.
