Norma Ardis Wrobleski, 72 of Benson, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at the Swift County Hospital in Benson surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12th at the church and continue for one hour prior to the service. Norma Ardis (Kvamme) Wrobleski was born March 5, 1943 in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Olaf and Denah (Simonson) Kvamme. She was baptized April 11, 1943 and confirmed June 8, 1958 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, while attending school in Benson. After growing up and being raised in Benson, Minnesota she moved to Racine, Wisconsin in 1965, remaining there until 1977. Being united in marriage to her late husband Leo Wrobleski on October 30, 1984, she then resided in DeGraff, Minnesota until 2010, before returning home to Benson. Her working days included time at Dremel Tool Manufacturing in Wisconsin, and Jennie-O Turkey in Willmar, Minnesota. Her interests over the years included playing softball, bowling and shooting in a pool league in her younger days, while she also enjoyed playing cards, especially Buck. During leisure time Norma enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Gophers. Very much a "people" person, there weren't too many people she didn't know or not many people that didn't know her. She had that kindred spirit that simply drew people to her. Though she didn't have much of material value, she was always willing to give. One thing is certain, she couldn't have been more proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. She had such an extended family that she spent time with and loved and cared for as her own. All through her battle with cancer, and COPD, she fought hard, while never complaining and "made you laugh". Norma is survived by her children: Jody (Neil) Tolin, of Buffalo, Minnesota; Angela (Mike) Mettling of Rockford, Minnesota; Jo Anne (Craig) Bier of Mitchell, South Dakota; and Robert (Tina) Vasquez of Big Fork, Minnesota; step-children: Deb (Ed) Kill, Monticello, Minnesota; Jerry (Patty) Wrobleski of Willmar, Minnesota; Leroy (Alice) Wrobleski of Hartlan, Minnesota; Nancy (Bob) Emmert of Dawson, Minnesota; and Joyce (Greg) Hanenburg of Edgerton, Minnesota. Four sisters and one brother include: Barb (Lowell) Torkelson of Willmar, Minnesota; Donna Paulson of Benson, Minnesota; Marlene Kvamme of Benson, Minnesota; Tom (Linda) Kvamme of Milaca, Minnesota; and Sharon Wrobleski of Austin, Texas. Norma loved to spend as much time as she could with and take in the activities of her 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one special grand dog. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Wrobleski, step-son David Wrobleski, parents Olaf and Denah Kvamme, brother-in-law Darrell Paulson, nephew Dennis Paulson, grand dog Rusty, and a number of aunts and uncles.
