Kenny was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Correll. He was raised in the Correll area where he attended school and graduated from Odessa High School in 1949. While in High School, Kenny was the pitcher on the Correll Baseball team. On May 3, 1957 Kenny was united in marriage to Virginia Scheff at Appleton Episcopal Church, by Rev. Paul Hallett. This union was blessed with six children: Julie, Dawn, Thomas, James, Cynthia, and John. Kenny farmed his entire life. For many years he erected grain bins and picked sweet corn. He was a long-serving member of the Akron Township Board, where he was clerk for many years. Kenny loved to hunt and fish, to play cards, and to coach ladies softball and co-ed kitten ball. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching any type of sporting event. Kenny was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Correll. He served as an Elder, Trustee, Chairman, Finance Secretary, and Sunday school teacher. His favorite joke was his comparison of women and fishing walleyes -you never knew what they were going to do! To his many friends he feels he was truly blessed. Kenny died July 6, 2015, at Northridge Nursing Home in Ortonville. He attained 83 years, 9 months, and 15 days of age. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Correll; children: Dawn (Mark) Hartwig of Watertown, SD, Thomas Jensen of Appleton, James (fiancé, Pam) Jensen of Correll, Cynthia (Paul) Stock of Mankato, John (Jodi) Jensen of Correll; 14 grandchildren: Jacob (Amanda) Hartwig, Jessica (Shane) Sutten, Zach, Rachel and Noah Jensen, Alexis and Olivia Jensen, Becca Wilkening, Graham (fiancé, Christa) Stock, Isaiah and Avery Stock, Tristen, Kinnly, and Khaleesia Jensen; 4 great-grandchildren: Kollin, Makenzie, and Harper Sutten and Zayne Hartwig; sisters: Leila Pearson of Foreston and Pearl Gabrielson of Milan; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sverre and Josephine Jensen; daughter, Julie; sisters: Marcella Peacock and Dorothty Amberg. Blessed be the memory of Kenny Jensen.
