Schlieman Appleton, MN 56208 Robert "Bob" Gale Bagaus was born March 25, 1926 in Milan, Minnesota, the son of George and Bertha "Birdie" (Thorsrud) Bagaus. Bob was baptized on May 23, 1926 and was confirmed on August 13, 1939, both at the Milan Methodist Church. After graduating from Milan High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Army. Bob was a Rifleman and was wounded in action on April 14, 1945. He was honorably discharged from the Army in June, 1946. After his military service, Bob worked for many years with the railroad. In his later work years he was a mechanic at a Ford garage. On July 25, 1985, Bob was united in marriage to Faythe Houseman in Watertown, South Dakota. He and Faythe were to celebrate their 30th Wedding Anniversary this summer. Bob enjoyed making model trains, working on jigsaw puzzles, doing SUDOKO puzzles, gardening, and making homemade pies. Bob died on Friday, May 22, 2015. He attained 89 years, 1 month, and 28 days of age. He is survived by his wife, Faythe, of Appleton; children: Barbara (Stephen Picasso) Smith of Spearfish, SD, Robert A. Bagaus of Detroit Lakes; grandchildren: Phillip Lokken of Detroit Lakes, Steven (Alicia) Lokken of Detroit Lakes, Amy (Chad) Lokken-Lawson of TN, Debra Elvecrog-Kluesner of Sioux Falls, SD, Rebecca Smith of Sioux Falls, SD; great-grandchildren: Makenzie, Lauren, Charlee, Kimberly, Gavin, Malena, Dylan, Brendan, Joel, Vance, Michael; great-great-grandchild, Kinslee Kaye; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Bertha Bagaus; daughter, LuAnn Elvecrog; granddaughter, Leslie Lokken; brother, Archie Bagaus.
