Marvis JoAnn Moe was born on April 5, 1941, at the Montevideo Hospital, the daughter of Jens and Mabel (Benson) Moseng. Marvis was baptized on April 5, 1941 and was confirmed on May 20, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. She was raised in the Appleton area and attended Appleton High School. On January 31, 1959 Marvis was united in marriage to Robert Charles Moe. This union was blessed with five children: Connie, Debra, Janice, Robert Jr. and Patricia. Marvis worked for Finger Hut and for the Appleton Nursing Home, as a Nurses Aide, for several years. After retirement in 2008, Marvis found enjoyment with her hobbies of playing cards, doing puzzles, flower gardening, watching old movies, following the Vikings and Twins, and reading. She was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Appleton. Family was very important to Marvis...she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Marvis died on March 16, 2015, at her home. She attained 73 years, 11 months, and 11 days of age. She is survived by her children: Connie (John) Stock of Correll, Debra (Brian) Wilkening of Correll, Janice (Wendel) Schmidt of Appleton, Robert Moe Jr. of Appleton; 13 grandchildren: Joshua (Kirstin Koch) Stock, Nicholas (Kara Heitland) Stock, Mitchell Stock, Adam Wilkening, Vanessa Wilkening, Christopher (Laura) Perry, Jaime (Craig) Berghorst, Angela (Justin) Stamp, Jessica Moe, Peyton Moe, Brooke Gabrielson, LeRoy (Kristina) Gabrielson, Andrew (Brittne) Gabrielson; 11 great-grandchildren: Skyler Stock, Madison, Cade and Bricen Berghorst, Eli Stamp, Trisa Person, Jocelyn Brincefield, Elizabeth, Landon and Dawson Gabrielson, Hadlee Gabrielson; sisters: Pearl Miller of Spokane, WA, Inez Johnson of Montevideo, Ruby (Bill) Taylor of Blaine; brother-in-law, Clarence Aarvig of Maple Grove; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jens and Mabel Moseng; daughter, Patricia Gabrielson; sister, Irene Aarvig; brothers: Baby Boy Moseng, Clayton, Jerry, Stanley, and Orville Moseng.
