John Lyle Kveene

January 5, 1962 — February 11, 2015

John Lyle Kveene was born January 5, 1962, in Madison, Minnesota, the son of Obert and Ardis (Vonderharr) Kveene. He was raised in the Madison and Appleton area and graduated from Appleton High School in 1980. After high school, John attended the Willmar Vo-Tech. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was based in the Philippines and Colorado. On December 12, 2012 John was united in marriage to Amy Lea Erickson. He and Amy had made their home in Brooklyn Park, where John was employed as a Sales Representative for a home remodeling firm. John was a man with many talents and skillshe was a lifetime inventor with the patents to prove it! Over the years he was the owner of several businesses. He enjoyed winning Scrabble, 4-wheeling, skiing, riding his Harley, working in the yard, inventing things, and working on remodeling projects. John was a prankster and enjoyed a good laugh. He could talk with anybody and was known to do so. John was a man with big dreams, lots of stories to tell, and was "off the charts funny." He had a huge heart and was a true family man. John died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, peacefully at his home in Brooklyn Park. He attained 53 years, 1 month, and 6 days of age. He is survived by his wife, Amy of Brooklyn Park; children: Brandon (Heather) Kveene of Farmington, Danielle (Adam) Johnson of Bemidji; mother, Ardis Kveene of Appleton; siblings: Doug (Julie) Kveene of Willmar, Randy (Leslie) Kveene of Willmar, Norman (Kelly) Kveene of Pennock, twin sister Julie Behrens of Colorado Springs, CO, Mike (Missy) Kveene of New Prague, Jerilyn (David) Erickson of Lonsdale, Patti (Brad) Swenson of Milbank, SD; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rita and Jesse Erickson of Ottertail Lake; 19 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Obert Kveene; infant sister, Elizabeth Kveene; grandparents: Albert and Alice Vonderharr, Nils and Kristina Kveene. Blessed be the memory of John L. Kveene.
