Esther A Monson

July 26, 1933 — November 19, 2014

Esther Agnes Monson, 81, was born in Kerkhoven, on July 26, 1933, the daughter of John Axel and Katrina Johanna Linnea Johnson Magnusson. She was baptized and confirmed at West Zion Lutheran Church. She graduated from Kerkhoven High School. On December 6, 1952, Esther was united in marriage to Harlan Dwayne Monson at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She enjoyed spending time with her family and sewing. She lived on a farm in Hoff Township, Pope County, in Clontarf, and Benson. Esther was called from this life on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the Northridge Care Center in Minneapolis. She is survived by her children Steve (Janet) Monson of Maple Grove, Sheryl (Gus) Kaubisch, of Hackensack, Shannon (Kyle) Wilberg of Grand Rapids, and Sheldon Monson of Crystal; 7 grandchildren Marc, Sean, Marissa, Katrina, Scarlett, Drew, and Juliann; 3 great grandchildren, Jack, Ty, and Kabron; brothers and sisters Karen Preker, John (Sachico) Magnusson, and Linda Magnusson; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Katrina, her husband Harlan, siblings John Edwin, Ingrid, Greta, Evelyn, and Mae.
