John Henry "Fritz" Timm was born January 11, 1937, in Appleton to parents Curt and Alma (Kerr) Timm. He grew up on the family farm north of Appleton. John attended country school at District 36 and graduated from Appleton High School. He worked on the home farm and for other farmers in the area for many years. Fritz had many loves: people, the state fair, movies, history, the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He loved to visit with people. Later in life Fritz moved into Appleton. He enjoyed walking and visiting with everyone. He went to the Senior Nutrition Center at Noon to eat and see his friends. In August Fritz's declining health found him in the Appleton Nursing Home. He enjoyed the residents and staff. He had found a new home. He died peacefully on Thursday, November 13, at the Appleton Nursing Home. He attained the age of 77 years, 10 months, and 2 days. He is survived by his brother, Richard Timm, of Appleton; three sisters-in-law: Jan Timm, Judy Timm and Esther Cederberg; several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Thomas Timm and Harry Timm; his sister, Mary Dedon; and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Dedon.
