Kathleen Newell

March 21, 1932 — October 13, 2014

Kathleen Newell was born on March 21, 1932, in Cashel Township, Swift County, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Loretta Bryne Newell. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in DeGraff, and grew up on the farm in Cashel Township and in DeGraff. She attended District 28 country school in Cashel Township and DeGraff public schools. She lived in DeGraff until 1963 when she moved to Benson. She enjoyed visiting with friends and rides in the car. Kathleen loved doing things such as baking and housework with her mother, and after Loretta's death she became Marge's constant companion. She is survived by her sisters Mary Ann Knutson and Marge Newell, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Loretta, a brother Jim, a brother-in-law Eldon Knutson, a sister-in-law Jean Newell, and a niece Jeanie. Blessed be her memory.
