Gwenith Louise Ingram-Mitteness was born September 22, 1936, in Moyer Township, Swift County to Leo and Amalea (nee Bartz) Gaulke. She was baptized October 4, 1936 by Rev. Paul Gierke at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Shible Township and was confirmed June 1, 1952, in Trinity Lutheran Church, at Appleton. Gwen graduated from Appleton High School in 1954. She worked in Minneapolis for Walgreen's Drug Store in the office. She also worked for the Kaufman and Rorem Clinic as a secretary and receptionist. She was united in marriage to Reuben Curtis Ingram on June 15, 1957, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Gwen and Reuben had two sons; Jeffrey Leo and Joel James Ingram. They lived in San Diego, CA and Japan. After Reuben's death on July 6, 1962, Gwen and their sons returned to Appleton where they lived until 1966. On July 16, 1966, Gwen married John T. Mitteness and the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska and eventually back to California and then Las Vegas, Nevada. Gwen enjoyed her Precious Moments Collection, of which, she had many. She also enjoyed puzzles, Yahtzee and visiting with friends and family. But, most of all she enjoyed her phone conversations with her granddaughters. She enjoyed hearing about school, college, and boyfriends. Gwen died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 2 days, at the Mountain View Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her sons: Jeffrey Ingram of Las Vegas, NV and Joel (Darlene) Ingram of Wylie, TX; granddaughters: Alexandra, Abigail and Annabelle Ingram of Wylie, TX; step granddaughters: April (Brian) Strange of Las Vegas, NV and Ashley Adkison of River Falls, WI, Tonya Gordon of Provo, UT; step grandson Gary Nicholas Gordon of Clarksville, WI; step great-grandchildren: Karsyn and Fallyn Strange, Marley Lynum, Nicholas Gordon, and Ivory, Becca and Jaden Gordon; sisters: Glorine (Alan) Bahl of Kansas City, MO and Bonnie (Dana) Spry of Appleton; nieces: Vonnie Koepke (Glenn Kesse) of Kansas City, MO and Jolene (Justin) Thompson of Woodland Hills, CA; nephew: Curtis Bahl of Lee's Summit, MO; great niece Desiree Koepke of St. Louis, MO; great nephews: Josh Koepke of Kansas City, MO, and Cody and Caden Bahl of Lee's Summit, MO; and numerous other relatives. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; by her parents, Leo and Amalea Gaulke, nephew Jason Spry and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
