Minnetta Mae Staton was born January 24, 1918, in Aurelia, Iowa, to Homer Blaine and Dorothy Mae (Wade) Tiffany. She grew up and attended school in Holloway, Danvers, Clontarf, and Benson. Mae married Clifford Manska in 1934 and this union was blessed with five children. In 1945, Mae married Robert Staton and this union was blessed with two children. Mae worked at Sandy's Café for seven years and the Swift County Benson Hospital for twenty-two years. She was a member of S.A.C., the Senior Citizens President, organized the Rummage Sale, served on the Funeral Committee and Meals on Wheels, and was active in the sewing and quilting group at church. She enjoyed quilting, dancing, crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, and flowers. Mae passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Rice Care Center in Willmar, Minnesota. She had attained 96 years, 5 months, and 13 days of age. She is survived by her children: Robert (Karen) Manska of Billings, MT, Lester (Judy) Manska of Pillager, MN, Phil (Janis) Manska of Benson, MN, Chuck Manska (Janel) of Chester, MT, and Mary (Elroy) Schliemann of Kerkhoven, MN; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Delbert Tiffany of Paynesville, MN, Loretta (Clarence) Becker of North Mankato, MN, and Joyce Weber of Watertown, SD; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Dorothy Tiffany; husbands, Clifford Manska, in 1945, and Robert Staton, in 1988; daughters, Darlene Kolski and Judy Henriksen; 4 grandchildren, and siblings: Margaret Sandmeyer, Florence Carter, Leonard Tiffany, and Elmer Tiffany.
