Ragna Mathilda Redfield, 94 of Appleton, died June 28th at Appleton Area Health Services- Hospital. She was born September 29, 1919 in rural Swift County, to Peder and Anne (Oyen) Bakken. Ragna was baptized and confirmed at Drywood Lutheran Church, rural Appleton. She married Harold Redfield on October 8, 1938. This union was blessed with eight children: Harlan, Jerry, Denny, Larry, Sandy, Glenda, Peggy, and Sue. Ragna worked at Glenwood Retirement Home for many years, before retiring at age 76. She loved being with family, playing cards, playing BINGO and watching golf on T.V. Ragna is survived by her children: Harlan (Pat) Redfield of Zumbrota, Gerald (Judy) Redfield of Shakopee, Dennis (Ramona) Redfield of Zumbrota, Larry (Kathy) Redfield of Troutdale, OR, Sandy (Harold) Cooper of Appleton, Glenda Hentges of Appleton, Peggy (John) Kennedy of Mendota Heights, Sue (Rocky) Walker of Appleton; 14 grandchildren: Brad (Julie) Redfield, Ryan Redfield, Seth (Meggan) Redfield, James Cooper, Scott (Kellie) Hentges, Tim Kennedy, Sherry (Rick) Jacobson, Donna (John) Vosberg, Jesse Redfield, Joelle (Chris) Brown, Amy (Tim) Kovars, John (Tess) Kennedy, Melissa (Chris) Hebrink, Matt Kennedy; 21 great-grandchildren: Jennifer (Max), Henry, Sawyer, Sullivan, Hannah, Isaac, Timmy, Ethan, Camryn, Jake, Jordan, Isaac, Greta, Owen, Zach, Hayley (Spencer), Bailey, Grayson, Evan, Nick, Luke; 3 great-great-grandchildren: Kolton, Landon, Clint; brother, Rueben (Lorraine) Bakken of Dawson, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Peder and Anne Bakken; husband Harold; grandsons: Chad and Michael Redfield; three sisters: Amanda, Anna, and Ruth; five brothers: Sylfest, Hjalmer, Alfred, Thor, and Olaf; son-in-law, Victor Hentges.
