Jerry A. Olson, 66, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will be held from 10: 00 am to 11:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements. Jerry Alan Olson, 66, was born on October 18, 1947, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Arol and Pearl Jergenson Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. He grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson High School and later attended Custodial School in the Twin Cities. He assisted Tubby Forbord and worked as a DJ for the roller rink at the Benson Armory, ran the projectors and cleaned the DeMarce Theater, was a service attendant at Kellner's, and worked as a custodian at the Benson High School. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Jerry enjoyed hunting, camping, reading western books, watching western movies, listening to country music and watching all-star wrestling with his father. He was called from this life on Saturday April 12, 2014, at Sanford Health Care in Fargo, North Dakota. Jerry is survived by his niece and nephews; Curtis (Heather) Olson of Elk River, DuWayne (Robin) Olson, St. Michael, Dawn (Greg) Anderson of Willow River, and Ryan Olson of Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents Arol and Pearl Olson and a brother Robert Olson.
