Arlene Joan Lokken was born March 14, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Jessie and Margaret (Dwinells) Rundle. She was baptized August 5, 1960 at St. Cyril Catholic Church in Minneapolis and was confirmed June 20, 1963 at Church of the Visitation Catholic Church in Danvers. Arlene attended elementary school in Coon Rapids; Junior and Senior High School in Anoka. She completed the 11th grade, but was very proud of the fact that she attained her GED. On December 26, 1960, Arlene was united in marriage to Clyde Hughes at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Blaine. This union was blessed with over 25 years of marriage and 12 wonderful children. After Clyde's death in 1986, Arlene re-married Arnold Lokken on June 11, 1988, at First United Methodist Church in Appleton. They remained married until Arnie's passing in 1992. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide and also did Home Health Care in Appleton for 20 years. She loved flowers, enjoyed sewing of all kinds, liked to read, and especially like to be outside working in her garden. Arlene would like to be remembered for her faith in God and for trying to be a good mother. Arlene was called home to the Lord on April 8, 2014, at Glen Oaks Nursing Home in New London, MN. She had attained 72 years, 24 days of age. Arlene is survived by her children: Debra (John) Dixson of Belgrade, Doug (Michelle) Hughes of Silver Lake, Vince (Vicky) Hughes of Appleton, Sandi (Rob) Robinson of Sewickley, PA, Lisa (Craig) Bohlman of Appleton, Theresa (Charles Jerve) Guse of Appleton, Brenda Hughes of St. Peter, Linda (Chris) Cromartie of Wilmington, NC, Sue (Dave) Greig of Motley, Mary (Aaron) Prigge of Belgrade, Joseph (Stacey) Hughes of Kinsley, KS; two brothers: Charles (Mary) Rundle of Blaine, Richard (Carol) Rundle of Isanti; one sister, Evylyn Wikstrom of Anoka; 27 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; special family friend, Adam Dodd; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arlene is preceded in death by her husbands: Clyde Hughes in 1986 and Arnold Lokken in 1992; parents, Jessie and Margaret Rundle; son, Steven; and grandsons: Billy and Jacob.
