Constance Carol Hinneberg

December 28, 1943 — December 21, 2013

Constance Carol Hinneberg was born December 28, 1943, at Appleton to Albert and Gertrude (Galow) Uphoff. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Correll. Connie graduated from Odessa High School. Connie's first, longest, and favorite job was taking care of her family. After the kids were all in school, she had her first paying job candling eggs. Over the years she worked at B&H Electronics in Appleton until they closed; then at the Big Stone Cheese Factory until her retirement in January of 2010. In her years living in Appleton she was a league bowler. Connie enjoyed patio gardening and helping her family can all of the produce. She loved shopping with family and friends. She spent endless hours with the grandkids and looked forward to time spent around a bonfire. Before and after retirement she loved traveling with her family and friend Candy all over the United States, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Connie always looked forward to her weekly stress relieving appointments with her friends. Much of her summer was spent in the Alexandria area at either her sister's place or the lake cabin. Connie loved spending time with all her family and went to their homes as often as possible. Reading was always a passion and she shared books with family and friends. Connie loved the latest technology using her iPad to listen to all styles of music on Pandora and playing Hay Day with the family. She was very excited to have the latest iPhone5 texting with all of her family. Qualities that we all admired in Connie: quietly supportive, always a good listener, enjoyed helping family with projects, great baby sitter, knew how to relax, hard worker, expert vacationer, great cook, great pet Grandma, generous and loving. That's our G-Ma! Connie died on Saturday evening, December 21, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She had attained 69 years, 11 months, and 23 days of age. She is survived by three children: Lorie Steinke of Coon Rapids, Brenda (Dan) O'Malley of Sauk Rapids, and Michael (Lisa) Hinneberg of Odessa; eight grandchildren: Anna (Jason) Bethke, Ashley Steinke, Alyssa Steinke, Seth Steinke, Alicia O'Malley, Kristi (Matt) Mesenbrink, Cole O'Malley (and Kristina Remund), and Courtney O'Malley (anad Joel Eyestad); seven great-grandchildren: Aubrey Bethke, Brandon, Ryan, Paige, and Sophie Miller, and Gavin and Teyton Mesenbrink; three siblings: Ruth (Bob) Modeen of Miltona, Jim (Andrea) Uphoff of St. Joseph, and Bruce Uphoff of San Diego, CA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents: Albert Uphoff and Gertrude Land; her husband Loren on December 24, 1996; her son-in-law Francis Steinke; and two brothers: Robert Uphoff and Russell Uphoff.
