Josephine "Jo" E. Hennessy, age 77, of Florida, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013, peacefully at home. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2013, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson, with Rev. Paul Idstrom officiating. Burial was at the Benson City Cemetery in Benson, MN. Josephine (Jo) E. Hennessy was born on October 8, 1935 on a farm outside of Royal, Nebraska. She lived her teenage years in Topeka, Kansas. She passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2013 at the age of 77. She had the pleasure of living in many different countries throughout her life with Asmara, Eritrea (Ethiopia) being her favorite, but Florida remained her home. Jo was the loving wife of George F. Hennessy, mother of Michael F. Hennessy, Tammy J. Miller and Lisa K. Gemmill. She had one brother Justin Keiser and has two sisters Jackie Watkins and Jeanine Lanham. Jo has three grandchildren Dathan Miller, Sarah Maceda-Miller and Aaron Miller She has six great grandchildren, Cameron, Max & Emma Miller, Mariah, Erica & Cristian Maceda-Miller. The Family wishes to send our most grateful appreciation to Everyone; family, friends, volunteers and professionals who helped care, comfort and protect Jo the last months she was with us, especially the Hospice Team. You know who you are and we THANK YOU.
