Geraldine (Geri) Cartwright was born on July 8, 1915 to parents Charles and Mary (Johnston) Durheim in Warwick, North Dakota. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in Tolna, ND. She was united in marriage to Earl Cartwright on March 10, 1932 at Devils Lake, North Dakota. This union was blessed with four children: Beverly, Arlene, Larry, and Patsy. In 1940 the Cartwright's moved to Minnesota to raise their family. Geri worked in real estate and income tax preparation for many years. She also operated a gift shop at the Ponderosa Deer Park in Ortonville and managed the café at Champlin Oil Company. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ortonville and upon moving to Appleton, joined Word Fellowship Church. Geri enjoyed Bible study, gardening and crocheting. She was proud of her family and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Geri was called Home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. She had attained 98 years 0 months and 29 days of age She is survived by her children: Arlene (Derald) Rolfsmeier of Appleton, Larry (Elaine) Cartwright of Montevideo, and Patsy (Don) Fitzner of Renville; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Geri is preceded in death by: her parents, Charles and Mary Durheim; husband, Earl; daughter, Beverly; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and a niece. Blessed be the memory of Geraldine Cartwright.
