Camilla M. Krattenmaker, age 89, of Benson, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Glen Oaks Care Center in New London. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2013, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, with Father William Sprigler officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Camilla M. Krattenmaker was born on November 22, 1923 in Murdock, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Mary (Commerford) Collins. She grew up and graduated from high school in Murdock. On July 1, 1944, Camilla was united in marriage with Luverne C. Krattenmaker. This union was blessed with four children, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. After her marriage to Vernie, she lived in Benson and operated the Montgomery Ward's Catalog Store. Camilla was involved with a St. Francis Catholic Church Circle and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cards, crossword puzzles and games. Camilla was called from this life on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the Glen Oaks Care Center in New London, surrounded by her family. She attained 89 years, 8 months, and 10 days of age. Camilla is survived by her children: Charles (Toni) Krattenmaker of Brooklyn Park, Mary Lou Nissen of Spicer, and David Krattenmaker of Corona, CA; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Catherine (Krattenmaker) Kennedy, of Benson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luverne; son, Gerald; son-in-law, Randy Nissen; great-grandson, Colten A. W. Bloom; great-granddaughter, Morgan Camilla Christine Krattenmaker; parents, Mary and John Collins; and sisters, Rosie Dean and Arlene Bouta.
