Swift Falls, Minnesota-Ervin B. Swingseth, 99, passed away on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Benson, Minnesota Services-Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 13, at 1:30 p.m., at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Swift Falls, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Swift Falls Cemetery in Swift Falls. Ervin Burdell Chester Swingseth was born on September 16, 1913, in Swift County, Minnesota, the son of Elling and Dena Hanson Swingseth. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Pauli's Lutheran Church, near Swift Falls. He grew up on the family farm near De Graff and attended country school. Ervin farmed in the Swift Falls and De Graff areas. He was called from this life on May 08, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Benson. He attained the age of 99 years, 7 months, and 22 days. Ervin enjoyed farming, traveling, and he loved to plant flowers. He was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Swift Falls Lutheran Church. He loved to be around his family, especially birthday parties and Christmas gatherings. He is survived by his sister Gladys Benson of Montevideo, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Elling and Dena Swingseth, brothers Lawrence and Elder, sisters Alice Tatge, Bernice Tatge, and Ethel Hoberg.
