Bonnie J. Ziegler age 69, of Benson, passed away on Monday, February 18, at her home in Benson. Services - Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday February 22, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Visitation-Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm February 21, at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson is in charge of the arrangements. zniewskifuneralhome.com Bonnie Jean (Skottegard) Ziegler was born on October 28, 1943, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Ethel Jaeger Skottegard. She was baptized on January 2, 1944, at the First Evangelical Church in Grand Rapids, and she was confirmed on April 14, 1957, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hopkins. She grew up in Grand Rapids and Hopkins, graduating from Hopkins High School in 1961. On May 06, 1967, Bonnie was united in marriage to Larry Dean Ziegler, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hopkins. Together they were able to share in forty three years of marriage. This union was blessed with two daughters. After the birth of their first daughter they moved to Benson. In 1976 they moved to DeGraff, and in 1991 moved back to Benson. Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper for Hopkins Honda, Grossman's Plumbing and Heating, and Hawley's Plumbing and Heating. Bonnie was called from this life on Monday, February 18th, at her home in Benson. She attained the age of 69 years, 3 months, and 20 days. Over the years, Bonnie enjoyed bowling, golfing, crossword puzzles, reading, spending time at the lake, and winters in Mesquite, Nevada. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Brent) Haugen of Benson, Terri (Eric) Kruschke of Cork Ireland; five grandchildren, Kaytlyn Haugen, Hayley Haugen, Brayden Haugen, Megan Kruschke, and Nathan Kruschke; two brothers, Milton Rodney Skottegard of Arlington, Ohio, and Norman (Phyllis) Skottegard of Nevis. She was preceded in death by her mother Ethel, and her husband Larry in 2010.
