Kurt Jay Mills

Kurt Jay Mills was born to Darold and Marjorie Mills on May 16, 1956 at the Montevideo Hospital in Chippewa County. He graduated from High School in Grey Eagle, MN. Six months later, he joined the U.S. Army. He served more than 20 years in the Army with a large part of that spent in Germany. Kurt was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, for a long time and married a woman, Debbie, close to there. They were married for 20 years and resided in Raeford, NC. Debbie had two little girls, ages 3 and 5, when she married Kurt and he did a wonderful job of raising them. However, after 20 years they were divorced and he never remarried. Kurt loved to hunt and fish. He was called from this life on January 16, 2013 at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC. Kurt attained the age of 56 years and 8 months. He is survived by his parents, Darold and Marjorie Mills; twin brother, Kent (Tina) Mills and their 5 children of Post Falls, ID; sister, Nona Mills and her 3 boys of Benson; and sister, Nyla (Al) Mabry of Benson. Kurt was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
