David Charles Briscoe

David Charles Briscoe was born September 12, 1944, in Appleton to parents Ambrose J. and Norma T. (Christianson) Briscoe. David was confirmed at St. John's Catholic Church. He graduated from Appleton High School and attended the University of Minnesota-Morris. He entered the US Navy on September 20, 1966, and served until his honorable discharge on June 1, 1970. While in the Navy he served on the submarine USS Sperry based from San Diego, CA. After the military David worked in marketing and sales for various manufacturing and mining companies. He retired in 1991 for health reasons. During his life David had a great love of the outdoors, especially camping. He loved his dogs and liked repairing automobiles. He had a great sense of humor. David died on Saturday, December 1, at Woodwinds Hospital in St. Paul. He had attained 68 years, 2 months, and 19 days of age. He is survived by two sisters: Anne (David) Bonk of Appleton, and Katheryn Briscoe of Woodbury; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and "Dixie", his beloved dog. David is preceded in death by his parents.
