Lorraine W. Moline was born on June 25, 1922 in Swenoda Township, Swift County, Minnesota to Edward and Minnie (Christenson) Kolstad. She was baptized in Benson, Minnesota by Rev. Strand and confirmed by Rev. Melvin Andrews. She was united in marriage to Donald Moline on May 3, 1941. To this union, four children were born: Roger, Richard, Diane, and Robert. She grew up in Benson, graduating from Benson High School in 1939. Lorraine worked at Lee's Ben Franklin, Dr. Holme & Nelson, Montgomery Ward and Standard Lumber. She belonged to the Homemakers and Ladies Aid, was a Luther League Adviser, Sunday School teacher, Befriender, Friendly Visitor, delivered Meals on Wheels, Chairman of Work Unit, and performed other numerous volunteer work. Lorraine was an active member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church. Among the things she enjoyed were gardening, crossword puzzles, and crafts. Lorraine died on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Golden Living Center - Meadow Lane in Benson. She attained the age of 90 years, 5 months, and 6 days. Lorraine is survived by her sons, Richard (Darlene) Moline, and Robert (Carol) Moline and daughter, Diane (David) Janson, all of Benson; eight grandchildren, Kelly Anderson, Jeff Moline, Wendi Giuliano, Kim Moline, Sheila Espelien, Jason Moline, Peter Espelien, and Lisa Pollock; nine great-grandchildren, Hailey Anderson, Rachel Anderson, Whitney Anderson, Hannah Moline, Brandon Pollock, Devin Pollock, Aryn Minor, Allie Moline, and Sam Moline; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
