Mae A. Lindstrom, age 97, of Spring Park, formerly of Benson, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Lake Minnetonka Shores Home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock, with Rev. Amy Juel-Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery. Lindstrom was born on February 3, 1915 in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Arthur and Hannah (Borstad) Lee. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Lake Hazel Lutheran Church. She attended school in Lake Hazel through eighth grade and Benson High School. On January 1, 1941, Mae married Augie Lindstrom in Benson. This union was blessed with one son and two grandsons. Through the years, Mae was involved with many church activities and groups. She enjoyed dancing and visiting with people in the many places she lived: Murdock, Swift Falls, Benson, Minneapolis, Richfield, Cambridge, Golden Valley, Excelsior, and Spring Park. Mae is survived by her son, Gordon (Ellen) Lindstrom of Excelsior, MN; two grandsons, Marc Lindstrom of Minneapolis, MN, and Matt Lindstrom of Excelsior, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Augie Lindstrom, in 1998; her parents, Arthur and Hannah Lee; brother, Telford Lee; and sister, Ruby (Noel) Nelson.
