Ramon D. Millett (Ray) passed away May 20, 2010 at his home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas at the age of 64. Ray was born on January, 31, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Robert and Eleanore (Wagner) Millett. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Ray attended grade school and high school in Missouri Valley, Iowa, graduating with the class of 1964. Following high school Ray enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country until being honorably discharged June 5, 1968. On June 28, 1968 he married Francie Fay. They shared 41 years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Scott and Tara. Ray continued his education receiving an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Iowa Western Community College and an Associates of Arts Degree from Sioux Empire College. Ray was employed as General Manager of Agralite Cooperative in Benson, MN for 33 years retiring in February, 2008. Ray held leadership roles in numerous civic organizations and participated on several boards. Ray had a strong faith and was a member of Our Redeemers Lutheran Church where he served as president of the church council. Ray had a passion for life and he had many interests. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, traveling with family and friends, cooking, and entertaining. His passion for fishing took him on numerous adventures with his friends to the Northwest Angle, Lake of the Woods where he was the camp cook. Ray worked hard and played hard. His passion and love for his family was his life. Ray and Francie recently purchased their "dream" home in Hot Springs Village. He was excited for retirement and looked forward to becoming a part of the Hot Springs Village community. Ray was so proud of his children and adored his grandkids. He will be sadly missed by his wife Francie, his children, Scott (Stacey Ehlers) of Woodbury, MN & Tara (Kris Haugen) of Duluth, MN, his precious grandchildren Thomas, Abby, and Grant Haugen and Adam and Anthony Millett and the numerous family and friends whose lives he touched.
