Anna Matilda Radischat was born June 19, 1905, in Moscow, Idaho, the daughter of Charles Frederic and Augusta Mina (Peterson) Neal. She was baptized in Moscow, Idaho and confirmed into the Christian faith in 1921 at Buffalo Lake Mission Church in Chippewa County, Minnesota. Anna attended school at District #36 in Louriston Township, then Minnehaha Academy, and St. Cloud Teacher's College. She taught in rural schools for nine years in Chippewa and Lac qui Parle Counties. Anna had a son, Charles Anderson, with her first marriage. On February 13, 1946, Anna was united in marriage to Otto Radischat in Watertown, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with four daughters and 53 years of marriage. Otto died in 1999. Among the things she enjoyed were reading, puzzles, embroidery, traveling, and especially the Minnesota Twins. Anna was called from this life on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Benson, Minnesota. She attained the age of 104 years, 10 months and 17 days. Anna is survived by Margie Walsh of Mahtomedi, Lois Piper of St. Paul, Ruth Slivken of Seattle, WA, and Erna Rouse of Ft. Smith, AR; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Otto; her son Charles; her parents Charles and Augusta; siblings: Christina Ashburn, Mildred Zurn, and Paul Neal.
