Joseph Albert Berreau was born April 2, 1933, in Cameron Township, Murray County, Minnesota, the son of Fred and Erla (Heinze) Berreau. He grew up in Lake Wilson and graduated High School. Joseph served his country in the United States Army from 1953-55 during the Korean War. On June 6, 1953, Joseph was united in marriage to Cloyce M. Monke. They were blessed with three children and 56 years of marriage. Joseph lived and worked in Kansas City, Pipestone, Eden Prairie, Benson, and for 25 years, owned and operated Radio Shack in Granite Falls. He was a member of the VFW, the Lions, and a member of the American Legion in Granite Falls for over 57 years, where he served as a past commander. Among the things he enjoyed were softball, fishing, electronics and serving as a fireman. Joseph was called from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris. He attained the age of 77 years, and 1 day. Joseph is survived by his wife Cloyce of Benson; his children: Zoe Ann Longworth of Eden Prairie, Tommy (Kelly) Berreau of Robbinsdale, and Michael (Karri) Berreau of Benson; five grandchildren: Travis (Rhiannon) Pankake, Danielle (Spencer) Johnson, Anthony Berreau, Trevor Berreau, and Kaitlyn Berreau; three great grandchildren: Ayva, Lola, and Ysabela Pankake; one brother, Fred (Fran) Berreau of Lake Wilson; and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Erla; a son-in-law, Russell Longworth and four sisters.
