Francis E. "Frank" Walsh was born January 5, 1948 in Benson, Minnesota, the son of James and Anne (Rutledge) Walsh. He was baptized January 13, 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. He graduated from Murdock High School with the Class of 1966. After graduation, Frank enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard, serving from 1966 to 1972. Frank worked in the construction industry, building water and sewer treatment plants and water towers in 41 different states. He was a member of Local 49 Operating Engineers. In 2001, Frank suffered a stroke and retired from construction. Among the things he enjoyed were hunting, playing cards, and visiting with friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews. Frank passed away April 3, 2010 at Rice Care Center in Willmar. He attained the age of 62 years, 2 months, 28 days. Frank is survived by his brothers: Richard (Linda) Walsh and Patrick (Kathy) Walsh, both of Murdock; sisters: Jean (Jim) Hilleren of Benson and Colleen (Randy) Campbell of Le Center; grandmother, Lucille Rutledge of Murdock and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents Jim and Anne Walsh in 1998.
