Marjorie Ida (Haak) Baumgartner was born August 5, 1925 in Sanborn, Minnesota to Walter and Mathilda (Kettner) Haak.She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran in Springfield, Minnesota and confirmed at St. John's in Morgan, Minnesota. She attended country school. Her family moved in 1941 from Redwood County to the Holloway area where she attended high school. In 1942 she married LeRoy (Larry) Baumgartner. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran in Holloway, Minnesota; the Woman's Guild, Sunday school teacher; "This and That" Homemaker Club; Needle and Thread Quilt Club; and the Over 50 Club. She served on the council for the city of Holloway. She served 5 years on the the Board of the Senior Federation and was elected president of the Minnesota Valley Region Senior Federation.She worked in the Appleton Municipal Nursing Home.She enjoyed traveling, fishing, and quilting.Surviving are her 4 sons; Gail of Appleton, Minnesota, Mark of Wasilla, Alaska (married to Barb), Dean of Belize, Certral America (married to Susan), and Gary of West Haven, Utah (married to Cathy); 11 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren and her brother Robert (Darlene) Haak.Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two grandchildren.
